Beyond Wellness Perks: How Singapore Employers Are Redesigning Work for Better Wellbeing
For years, workplace wellbeing was often associated with wellness days, fitness program, counselling hotlines and occasional employee engagement activities. In Singapore, however, a more fundamental question is gaining attention: what if the way work itself is designed is contributing to poor wellbeing? Recent workplace research is pushing HR leaders to look beyond benefits and focus more closely on employees’ everyday experience of work. Gallup’s Singapore Workplace Report 2026 found that 43% of Singapore employees experienced daily stress in 2025. It also highlighted a gap between organizations providing wellbeing program and their ability to prevent chronic work overload.
